There are different ways to search and download information over the Internet. One efficient way is by using torrents. TorrentBitch is a BitTorrent client that allows you to download large files. It uses a technique based on the BitTorrent protocol that maximizes the download speed due to its sharing file system. In other words, it downloads pieces of files from other BitTorrent users (seeds); in a similar vein, you enable other users (peers) to download pieces of your shared files. TorrentBitch includes a feature called "Fetch Torrent" with the help of which the program uses different search engines at a time to get torrent results. If you choose to download a torrent file, the downloadable file will appear on the download list showing the size, downloaded and uploaded size, status, progress, ETA, download, and upload transfer rate, healthiness and number of available seeds and peers. It includes a chart window that shows in real-time the transfer rate in kb/s vs. the Time elapsed. Other useful options are "Active Downloads, Active Seeds and Active Limit" that allow you to adjust the maximum number of downloads and seeds. Among other things, you can associate the ".torrent" and Magnet Links file extensions, and create torrents to be shared on the Internet.
