Webroot Antispyware 6.0 is the latest version available of that developer security product that attempts and achieves in some ways to steal marketshare from security giants like Symantec, Mcafee and others. Version 6 includes features from the developer antispyware, Spysweeper but it still not a complete security solution due to the missing firewall application, which can be found on ther Internet Security Product. Among its new features and as a part of the latest version wins, we can mention its backup functionality for pictures, music, videos and files online (1gb free), it also includes the classic email, IM and Active Shield most antivirus offers, however the included Spysweeper functionality, make it a good choice for budget purchases. Running a scan, it found most threads that my free AVG antivirus did, however I cant assure you if is better or worse, since that depends on the virus definitions installed and I haven´t been atacked by malware while using it, however a missing feature found was any kind of heuristic (technology to detect malware or program that behaves like a malware with no virus definition) Webroot Antivirus is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, it requires the following mininum hardware requirements: 300 Mhz or Higher Processor At least 100 MB of free hard drive space At least 256 MB RAM available
