Phormation is a set of PHP functions which provide a framework for developing any HTML form with a database backend. Phormation includes more than 10 widgets types including text field, date, file upload and select, and is easily extensible. The main advantage of Phormation is that it allows web applications to be developed more quickly.Features:- supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, ODBC - includes an "index" page which displays the contents of a table - allows user to edit/delete records - user can click on column headings to have records sorted by that column - supports paging (if there are too many records for a single page) - supports automatic timestamping of record creation and updates - uses transaction paradigm when editing records. The inputted values are committed to database only when all widgets successfully validate. - widgets include - text - number - email - address - password - phone number - select type (dropdown or radio buttons) - foreign key select - cross-reference - cross-reference with attribute - date - boolean - time - credit card expiry - file upload - can put multiple copies of an input form on a page - supports hook functions so that it is easy to perform any actions using the results of the form, either in addition to or instead of storing the values in a database. - does not rely on javascript, except for in two isolated places - good documentation!
