ZIM is slim and simple chat and instant messaging server for Windows 2003/XP/2000. Easy to install and use, ideal for use in LAN or remote VPN protected environments. ZIM supports public and private chat channels, offline messages and file transfers through the server. Key features: - Instant messaging including offline messages. - Typing indication. - Channel based chat with installable smiles support and optional password protection. - International characters support. - Presence indication with optional status description information and user idle detection. - File transfers through the server for users from remote locations behind firewalls, routers and VPNs. - Optional self register procedure for creating user accounts without system administrator. - Remote server administration. - Restrict access to the server by filtering rules including denied and allowed IP addresses or groups of IP addresses.
