HelpSmith is a visual help authoring tool which you can use to create CHM HTML Help files, Web Help , Word RTF, PDF, and Printed Manuals from a single source. The stand-alone and very easy-to-use environment provides a powerful Word-like Unicode word-processor for editing help topics with dynamic styles and live spell checker, advanced approach to working with graphical files, automatic correction system, and many other useful tools.
Based on the original technologies HelpSmith, enables creating help files and documentation from start to finish and also enables importing help topics from Microsoft Word (.RTF), .HTML, and plain text files that can be written in different Unicode charsets.
With HelpSmith you can provide help files for your software in multiple help formats one of which is CHM HTML Help files, a standard format for application's online Help in Windows. HelpSmith has support for all the features of HTML Help, allowing you to create the hierarchical TOC, Index, add and customize html help's help windows, and so on.
The "What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get" principle makes working with HelpSmith as easy as working with regular office application. And, in fact, you do not have to learn any technical details to create professional CHM and Web Help systems and other documents with HelpSmith.
