Customers view MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete management of the program using network that surveillance workstation can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program's modular composition extensively increases reliability because all parts operate as autonomous applications. If one part fails, other modules continue working. For instance if the 'capture' component fails, 'watchdog' starts over it instantly that viewers don't notice anything because they are watching video through a 'playback' module. The software makes 'cyclic' recording that the 'hard drive full' situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart station using Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
