It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and apart pcs. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software using net that surveillance workstation can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration considerably boosts reliability because all units act as autonomous applications. If one part fails, other units go on running. For instance if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` module. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by motion, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart station through Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
