Dutch is the official language of the Netherlands, Belgium and Suriname. It is also spoken in several African regions colonized by the Netherlands. This BibleMax free module features the Staten Vertaling (States Translation) Dutch version of the Bible. It is the first Dutch version translated directly from the original Hebrew and Greek texts and was first published in 1526. Unlike the original, printed version of this Bible, the BibleMax module does not contain the Apocrypha, that is, those books not considered as canonical by most Protestant denominations. The Apocrypha were published in the Stater Vertaling in an Appendix with a warning to readers. Thus, if you expect to find an exact reproduction of this Dutch version, you may be disappointed. To correctly run this module, you will need BibleMax core software, which can be downloaded at the developer's website.
